This week in West Chester, we continued work on a detailed InsideOut under-deck drainage system. We were called in to clean up after another contractor left some crucial flashing details unfinished or completely missed. Rather than trying to patch around the issues, we demoed the whole system and started fresh—because half-done flashing work is a recipe for future leaks.

Our focus was on precise prep work to ensure the new system performs like it should. We installed PVC post wrapswith base and crown moldings that tie directly into the flashing for a clean, water-tight finish. The panels go up next week, and we’re excited to bring this project across the finish line with the attention to detail it deserves.

Meanwhile, in Douglassville, we took on a different kind of job: topcoating a blacktop driveway for one of our favorite repeat clients. The summer heat wasn’t exactly enjoyable for the crew—but it worked in our favor. High temperatures actually help the topcoat bond to the milled surface, making for a longer-lasting, more durable finish. Sometimes, the weather is the MVP.

Whether we’re restoring confidence in a deck system or putting the finishing touches on a driveway, we’re always focused on craftsmanship, longevity, and doing things the right way—no shortcuts, no compromises.
