This week at Marvel Builders, we kept steady momentum on the renovation with a series of important upgrades—inside and out.

We began by demolishing the old steps leading down to the sidewalk. Once cleared, our team set the forms for the new steps, ensuring proper layout, alignment, and long-term durability. Fresh forms always mark a turning point in a project—where the “before” officially gives way to the “after.”

Inside the home, we completed all fire blocking and insulation, an essential part of safety, energy efficiency, and long-term performance. It’s the behind-the-scenes work that makes a home function the way it should.

From there, we moved into one of the major phases of the week: hanging 5/8″ drywall—glued and screwed for maximum strength and rigidity. This thicker drywall provides additional fire resistance and sound control, making it ideal for high-quality renovations.

We wrapped up the week by applying the first coat of tape and spackle, setting the stage for smooth, clean walls in the next phases.

Solid progress, a clean jobsite, and workmanship we’re proud to stand behind. More updates to come.
