🔨 Over in Phoenixville, the kitchen remodel is coming together nicely. We’ve installed undercabinet lighting 💡, set up new fixtures, and added the final touches of paint and trim 🎨. The countertops are in, and we’ve applied the brown coat to the chimney—just 10 more days to dry before we move on to the final coat!

In Pottstown, we’ve started an exterior remodel that’s going to be a showstopper. 🏡 We’re replacing every window with custom-stained Sierra Pacific double-hung units and upgrading the exterior with DiamondKote siding, soffit, and fascia. Can’t wait to see the transformation unfold! 👀✨

A.D. Moyer Lumber delivered the @diamond_kote siding and @sierrapacificwindows for us, and we are ready to go! 😎 Stay tuned for more updates!

This week, we made great progress on the Phoenixville Kitchen Remodel! We continued working on the tile, paint, trim, and cabinets, and demoed the old stucco chimney, fixing some unexpected rot along the way. We'll be stuccoing the chimney in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

And thanks to @A.D. Moyer Lumber for the trim!

🌱 Over at the Douglassville Garage, we laid down soil, seed, and straw earlier this week, and thanks to all the wet weather, it's already started to grow! Sometimes the rain comes with perks!

🛠️ Weekly Progress Update at Marvel Builders, Inc. 🛠️

This week, we wrapped up a lot of things over at the Pottstown basement project. ✅ We finished painting, cleaned up the site, and took care of the final punch list items. We're now just waiting on the laundry cabinets and craft area cabinets to arrive, and then we’ll be able to call this job completely DONE! 🎉

In the meantime, the owner can start moving their things back in and enjoying their refreshed space. 🏡

In Phoenixville, we made great progress on the kitchen remodel! 👏
We continued setting cabinets, started repairing old ceiling cracks to prep for paint, and moved forward with the rough electrical. ⚡
We also began laying tile in the laundry room and powder room 🚽, and worked on spackling the fridge bump-out area.
This new layout ensures the fridge doesn’t protrude into the kitchen.
Instead, we’ll be using the new space in the garage for a handy shoe storage solution! 👟👠

We’re moving right along! 💪 Stay tuned for more updates. 📸

👀Another week of progress across several projects! Here's what we've been up to:

1️⃣ Pottstown Basement Renovation: The LVP flooring is complete, and we're currently working on trim, railings, and paint. The finishing touches are in full swing!

2️⃣ Phoenixville Kitchen Remodel: We've continued demolition and ripped out the old cabinets. During the process, we found that the old pantry shelving was screwed into a waste line😵‍💫—definitely something we need to address! ⚠️

3️⃣ Douglassville Bath Remodel: The tile and paint are finished, the tub is set, and all the fixtures are installed. This space is officially ready for the homeowner to enjoy! 🛁✨

Project Update: Pottstown Basement Renovation

We’re making great progress on the finishes for the Pottstown Basement job! This week, we installed beautiful LVP flooring, which really brings the space to life. One of the highlights is the hand-hewn beam over the fireplace, which the homeowner personally found and provided as the mantle—it adds a unique, rustic touch. We're also continuing with trim and paint work, as well as the final electrical hookups. Excited to see this space comin#lvpflooring

🔨 Weekly Update from Marvel Builders! 🔨

This week, we kicked off a flooring project that’s leading into a full kitchen remodel! We started by removing the old 3/4" hardwood flooring and prepped the space with 3/8" plywood. Then, we installed new high-traffic luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring throughout most of the first floor. 🏠

The homeowners had been dealing with noisy, squeaky floors for years, and it turns out the old subfloor wasn’t glued down. To fix that, we made sure to back screw every joist before laying down the new underlayment.

The new LVP floor matches the same height as the old hardwood, so we didn’t have to adjust any door jambs, trims, or stair risers. 🙌

So far, everything is running smoothly—stay tuned for updates when we kick off the kitchen remodel! 👀

🔨 Pottstown Rot Remediation:
We were called in to make some minor repairs on a historic Victorian home in Pottstown, but what we found was a bit more than expected! Decades of leaking internal gutters had caused significant damage. We removed everything necessary, framed new rafter tails with cutouts for the internal gutter, replaced rotted framing, and insulated where needed. We also installed new sheathing, tied in the EPDM material to the existing gutters (which were in good shape), replaced the frieze board, and custom cut new corbel brackets from laminated PVC. After patching in the crown molding and plaster, we gave it all a fresh coat of paint. The home’s beautiful details are restored, and it’s ready to stand the test of time once again!

🔧 Pottstown Basement Renovation:
Progress is moving along on our Pottstown basement project! This week, we’re finishing up the drywall and have already started installing trims. With cabinets and custom stair parts on order, we’re excited to continue transforming this space once those arrive.

We've got some exciting progress to share!

🗣️Over in Pottstown, our basement renovation is coming along great. After addressing some moisture issues, we’ve completed rough electrical, hung drywall, and are now diving into spackling and taping. Check out the progress so far!

Meanwhile, in Douglassville, we’re tackling a master bathroom remodel with a bit of a twist.

👀The existing tub was installed backwards—yes, really! (not by us!) But we’re here to give this bathroom the custom treatment it deserves. We’re replacing the tub with a freestanding option, installing pebble flat ground tile, and adding gorgeous solid surface wainscoting for a polished finish.

Stay tuned as these spaces continue to take shape—we’re excited to show you what’s next!

This week, we kicked off an exciting basement renovation in Pottstown! The space was originally finished decades ago, and it’s time for a fresh start.

Right now, we’re in the demolition phase, clearing out the old finishes. During the process, we discovered some moisture and mold issues that need to be addressed. Before moving forward with the new framing, we’ll make sure to take care of these concerns to ensure a clean and healthy foundation for the renovation.

This week on the Sunroom Project, we made great progress with several key tasks:

Continued with rough wiring and insulation.
Worked on the exterior siding and trims.
Started building the base layer of our wainscoting.
Installed beautiful knotty pine ceiling boards. 🌲

We couldn't do it without our primary vendor, and great team over at @admoyerlumber !

In other news, we took some exterior pictures of the Douglassville Garage that we recently completed. We're still holding off on installing the topsoil and lawn due to the current hot and dry weather.

Once things cool down, we'll be able to grow some lush, green grass. 🌿
